How did you get your PSC nickname?
Rescued Irish Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier named Oisin (fabled prince in Irish folklore) and Seamus the older priest in a Bing Crosby movie who was always in trouble

What is your real name and age?
Richard soon to be 65

Where are you from and what do you like best about being there?
Originally from Montreal now in Burlington, Ontario

What do you do to keep the bills paid?
Professional salesman

What do you do in your spare time?
Gym, golf, visit here, love to converse with people ( a faintly diguised excuse to go and have a few pints at the bar) Love to cook!!

How did you find PSC, and what do you like most about the site?
Google typed Photoshop and wanted to see as a curiousity. Love the fact that people see the same thing but differently. Maybe this is a life lesson making it easier to be tolerant.

If you could change one thing at PSC, what would it be and why?
Nothing, it ain't broke.....

Is there any other information about you would like to pass on?
I find this type of question to be intimadating, not because I have something to hide but rather because it would change from day to day. ADD to the bone!

How many hours per week do you spend on PSC?
I always check to see if there is something going on in the forum like real early, look at the Advantage Calendar to see what's new and hopefully get motivated. Never actually tried to count the time but I don't always stay long but I visit often

What other sites, not Photoshop related, do you like to surf?
Deviant Art, Tutorialize.com, newspapers local and international, hundreds in my favourites but seem to visit them rarely. I guess they seemed interesting at the time.

What tools do you use to chop?
Acer laptop, Windows Vista, CS3, Wacom Bamboo Fun

What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?
Not sure I've done that yet but hope springs eternal. I like the ridiculous.

What inspires you?
The ridiculous!!

Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
No, just jump in and hope the water is not cold, and hopefully deep!

What style of chop do you prefer to create?
Funny

Filters, brushes and techniques: Which do you use, and not use, and why?
Not a big fan of filters, I prefer chops that have a more personal artistic hand not mechanical.

When do you know that you have it just right, or is it constant changes up until, or after, you post?
About 30 seconds after I Save For The Web.

What is the limit to what you will chop?
Define bad taste! I have never been offended by any chop here and rather enjoy the double meaning ones that could be defined as risque

Are there any tips and/or tricks that you would like to pass along to less experienced choppers?
I here to learn mostly by stealing and borrowing and I suggest that newbies do the same

What is your favorite type of source image, and why?
The ones that click on the idea section of my mind and that's not a cop out but an honest answer.

There is often talk about how the source is used and to what extent it should be. What are your views on all sources, outside source use and animations?
I admire all source chops and if it works whatever makes it work. No defined rules should be applied except size.

What is your preferred resource for outside source images?
Google

In your opinion what makes a good chop?
One that make me think "I never thought of that, wow"

Do you have a system to get things started?
No

Have you ever completed a chop and then decided not to enter it in the contest? If so, why?
yes, usually it's because it did not look right when I looked at off the Photoshop work window

After you finish your chop do you just post it or seek opinions of family and/or fellow choppers first?
No, my wife thinks I'm nuts to start with and this site is not doing much to change her mind, in fact she may use it as proof in some upcoming legal matter.

If some one finds a fault in your work do you change it or stay with what you posted?
I stay with it and vow to be more carefull on the next one. Changing your chop after you posted is like a get out of jail card. If you do the crime you gotta to be able to do the time!!

What qualities do you look for when deciding to vote on a chop?
Mostly originality, then ability.

Some member prefer not to vote for filtered chops or animations. Is there any particular style/type of chop you won't vote for?
No

Time is always a factor, how much time do you spend on a chop and how much time is too much?
As long as I'm still "into it" there is no time.

We all love to get votes. Now are you a constant vote checker or do you just let it go and check once a day? (be honest)
While I am extremely competitive in everything, sports, work I don't care that much about votes on this site. I am here to entertain myself and this site does that.

What chop of yours did not do as well as you expected?
In spite of what I said about votes I was really proud of http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/148133/any-pigskin-sunday.html

What do you consider your best chop so far?
http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/148133/any-pigskin-sunday.html

What do you consider your worst chop so far?
So many bad chops, so little time!

Who is your favorite chopper out there and why?
I really admire ReyRey who consitantly delivers quality chops, both in originality and skill.

What do you NOT like to see in a chop, and why not?
Any chop that someone pm's me asking me if I saw their chop, which gaurantees I will not vote for it. If anyone thinks that I could be swayed to vote for it by trying to influence me really has never met me

What is the best chop of all time?
Anfa ball bearings http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/77839/display.html

Do you have any other PSC related comments to add?
The funniest dude out there has got to be the Reinman. His comments and threads have provided me with more entertainment then Las Vegas.
